Flemish composer, organist, a teacher

  • Born in Zaandam, Belgium on August 30, 1927
  • He got his first music lessons from his father Cor Kee (organist and composer)
  • Studied the organ with Anthon van der Horst at the Amsterdam Conservatory
  • 1948 graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory
  • 1953 got the Prix d'excellence
  • Won first prize at the Haarlem International Improvisation Competition three times
  • 1952-1987 organist at the Laurenskerk in Alkmaar
  • 1956-1989 organist at St Bavo, Haarlem
  • 1954-1988 taught at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amersterdam
