Synopsis
Czech composer and violinist. With a freedom from concerns over finances or the need to have his works performed, his organ works reflect the influence of his teachers and are technically demanding.
- 1913 born in Bučovice, Moravia
- 1929-1938 studied violin and composition at Brno Conservatory
- 1938-1945 studied composition in composition studies under Novák and Křička in Prague
- 1942-1973 served as violinist at the Prague National Theatre orchestra
- 1976 died in Malé Kyšice, Bohemia
