- 1878-1885 studied organ at the Stuttgart Conservatory
- 1885 became a music teacher in Chur
- 1887-1942 organist of St. Peter's Cathedral in Geneva
- 1892 taught organ and composition
- 1925 became an honorary member of the Swiss Musicians Association
- 1927 honorary citizenship of Geneva and honorary doctorate from Geneva University.
- Died in Geneva on Dec. 19, 1943
Composed in the late romantic neobaroque style. Chaconne uber B-A-C-H, Fantasie, and Toccata.
