Synopsis

German organist, composer, and teacher

• Born in Hanau, nr Frankfurt, Germany on November 16, 1895.
• He was taught music from an early age.
• He took violin from Anna Hegner, and Adolf Rebner.
• 1912-13 He studied composition with Arnold Mendelssohn (a great-nephew of Felix Mendelssohn)
• 1917 went into the army
• Died Frankfurt, Germany on December 28, 1963
