Synopsis

Welsh composer, organist, and teacher

  • Born in Bargoed on Aug. 11, 1929
  • 1949 graduated from University College, Cardiff
  • 1951 appointed lecturer at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff
  • 1953 won the Walford Davies composition prize
  • 1967 became a professor of music at Cardiff
  • 1987 retired
  • Composed till his death
  • Died in Swansea on March 12, 2008

1970-1978 His organ output includes "Sarum Fanfare op. 77 no. 3" in 1970, and "Sonata op. 96 no. 2" in 1978.
