French organist, improviser, and composer
- 1877 born in Paris
- full name is Georges Armand Paul Jacob
- 1896 entered the Paris Conservatory, studying organ under Alexandre Guilmant.
- 1900 won first prize in organ
- 1892-1912 gave organ recitals at the Schola Cantorum, where he caused a wide variety of both classical and modern organ literature to be heard.
- 1897-1903 choirmaster and organist at Notre Dame de la Gare.
- 1902-1914 professor of piano at the Schola Cantorum in Paris.
- 1903-1906 organist at Saint Louis d'Antin.
- 1907-1950 organist and choirmaster at St. Ferdinand des Ternes.
- 1950 died
