- 1903, Copenhagen, received organ lessons from Gustav Helsted
- 1904 or 1905, Copenhagen, performed first organ concert at the Frederikskirken
- 1911-1915, Copenhagen, assistant organist at the Frederikskirken
- 1915-1917, Copenhagen, assistant organist at the Garnisons Kirke
- 1939-1952, Ribe, organist at Ribe Cathedral
- 10 Jul 1952, died in Ribe, Denmark
He was a late romantic composer. His music was not well-received in the Danish world of music during his lifetime. It was rediscovered in the late 1960's. One of his key works for organ would be Messis.
